Based on his book Shirakawa, Stan Flewelling originally created this comprehensive slideshow presentation for the Kent School District. The original presentation can now be found on the HistoryLink website. It illustrates the history of Japanese immigration to Washington State's White River Valley from its earliest days in the last decades of the 19th century through internment during World War II.
