This blog was established to accomplish the following goals:

1. To give additional insight into the Auburn Pioneer Cemetery and the families represented among its graves
2. To discuss more general issues, especially those related to cemeteries in general or even websites in general
3. To illustrate the methods used on the site to explore the past through genealogical research
4. To showcase sample biographies that can be spun from that genealogical research plus a dose of history-of-place

Amerie is the site designer and programmer for the Auburn Pioneer Cemetery website and this blog. She is a computer science student currently attending Western Washington University.

Kristy is a writer/historian/researcher and the primary copywriter for both the Auburn Pioneer Cemetery website and blog. She lives in Auburn, Washington.
